Dear Faithful Friends, HomeStyle Specialists and ALS Supporters,
It's the beginning of a new year. And with it, we always find ourselves thinking about resolutions, making changes and having yet another chance to make a fresh start.

This year, more than ever, it is the mission of the Wright family, AtHome America and the HelpAmerica Foundation to find something — anything — that will finally put a halt to the debilitating and eventually fatal effects of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)! We want to wipe out this disease in our lifetime!

On Feb. 28, 2009, the Les Turner ALS Foundation will be holding their 22nd Annual Hope Through Caring Award Dinner in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Chicago. Becky's wonderful husband of 30 years, Mike Wright, will be honored that evening. In addition, AtHome America and the HelpAmerica Foundation will be recognized at this event for our passion, devotion and overwhelming generosity in raising funds, awareness and above all, HOPE for people living with ALS.

Tickets for the Hope Through Caring dinner are being sold for $350. Now, I know that these are extraordinarily tough times for everyone. Your first thought probably is: "There is no way I could afford to go." STOP! I would respectfully ask you to rethink this. Maybe you can't afford the dinner, but what about fundraising for it? Hold two extra HomeShows this month and donate your commission, ask others for a small donation or maybe get your family involved. These are just a couple of suggestions. This really isn't that difficult. It only is if you look at it that way. You will be SO thankful at the dinner on Feb. 28, that you put forth the extra effort to be with Mike on this very special occasion! It's Becky's goal that when Mike Wright's name is called, there is a HUGE abundance of cheers! Will you be there with us?

Thank you SO VERY MUCH for EVERYTHING you do to help us fight the ALS battle!

With Much Love and More HOPE,

Mike Wright, husband to his high-school sweetheart Becky Wright, and a father of three, was diagnosed with ALS in March 2003. Shortly after his diagnosis, Mike, his family and those at AtHome America wanted to do something to help in the fight against ALS and created Hope 4 Mike. The Hope 4 Mike walk team just completed their sixth year in the ALS Walk4Life, and out of 249 teams, they were in the top five, raising more than $25,000!

AtHome America, founded in 1983 by sisters Becky Wright and Lisa Brandau, is a locally based, national direct-selling company that sells beautiful home-decorating accessories, offered only through HomeStyle Specialists. At the heart of their mission is strong family values, enhancing people's lives spiritually, personally and professionally, and being a positive influence to those whose homes they touch.

The HelpAmerica Foundation, was created in 2001 as the charitable arm of AtHome America and has worked extremely hard to support U.S. veterans. Since Mike's diagnosis of ALS, they have generously shifted their focus to include ALS research and patient service programs. The foundation was able to raise nearly $500,000.00 for ALS organizations in finding a cure for this disease.

The Les Turner ALS Foundation, in 1977, when Les Turner was diagnosed with ALS, the need for a committed organization to raise funds to find the cause and the eventual treatment for this disease, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease, was recognized. The Les Turner ALS Foundation has never swayed from that mission. And while the cause(s) have not been found, they are funding two world-class research laboratories in partnership with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where they also provide patients with outstanding medical care, which significantly improves the quality of their lives.
